The company’s If P&C Insurance AS consolidated profit in Estonia and its Lithuanian and Latvian affiliates slumped 3,7% and is equal to 20,7 million euro (about 14,5 million lats).
According to the company’s representatives, insurance premium’s gross value that were signed by “If” on the Baltic market reached 115 million euro (about 80,8 million lats) in the 2012, it was by 1,1% higher than it was in the previous year. But insurance premium’s gross values that were signed by the Latvian affiliate “If” were higher by 9% and reached 18 million lats.
But amount of insurance indemnities that were covered by “If” in the Baltic states was lower by 12% and was 62,2 million euros (about 43,7 million lats) in the 2012. But in Latvia this index was equal to 9,4 million lats, that is higher by 2,2%, than it was in the 2011.
But the company’s total number of clients in the Baltic states increased by 5% in the 2012 – from 337 to 353 thousands.
The insurance company “If” is one of the biggest insurance companies in the Baltic States. It belongs to the biggest in Northern Europe Scandinavian insurance group “If P&C Insurance Holding Ltd” that belongs to “Sampo Plc”.
